Ari Saperstein (he/him) is the founder and director of Los Angeles Reporting Collective, where he oversees programming, strategy and growth. He has worked as a reporter and producer at This American Life, Serial, Pineapple Street Studios and KPCC/LAist and his writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Guardian.
Jamie Maloney (she/her) is the associate director of Los Angeles Reporting Collective, where she leads partnerships and development. Her background spans journalism, capacity building and revenue strategy. Before joining LARC, she spent a decade at Mother Jones/CIR bringing in the money needed to support its award-winning journalism.
Alejandro Salazar Dyer (he/him) is the operations coordinator at Los Angeles Reporting Collective, where he supports communications and organizational systems. He has a background in nonprofit development and fundraising and serves as development director at the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra and development coordinator at Feet in 2 Worlds, supporting music and immigrant journalism initiatives.
Molly Peterson (she/her) is an editor at CalMatters. A longtime accountability journalist, Molly has worked as a reporter at NPR, KQED and KPCC.
Khari Douglas (he/him) is a producer at the NFL for their audio programs. He has previously worked as a producer at National Geographic and audio mixer at Vox.
Nicolle Galteland (she/her) is a criminal justice reporter and contributor to outlets like PRX, Lemonada Media, and AFAR. Nikki serves on the board member for the Oxus Society for Central Asian Affairs
Alejandra Salazar (she/her) is a journalist, story editor, and communications strategist. Her work has been featured in Latino USA, WNYC, NPR, and TED, among other audio, digital, and print outlets. She is currently a communications manager at LA Metro.
Stefanie Ritoper (she/her) is an audience engagement producer at LAist. Stefanie has won numerous awards for her work documenting marginalized communities in Southern California.
Spence Alcorn (he/him) is a communications strategist and operational consultant specializing in arts, culture, and media. He co-founded Sundance Institute’s Press Inclusion Initiative, designed Milken Institute’s first speakers bureau, and managed PR operations for the Los Angeles Times.
Tyker Kingkade (he/him) is a national reporter for NBC News. He has worked in investigative journalism for over a decade at national outlets. He created the TKTK Happy Hour event series in 2022 to foster connection among local journalists.
Lacy Wright (she/her) is a cultural strategist who works at the intersection of media, entertainment, and social impact. She previously served as Executive Director of Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Foundation and currently chairs the board of The Objective, a nonprofit newsroom focused on accountability in journalism.
Gabe Schneider (he/him) is a reporter and editor based in Los Angeles. He is a co-founder of The Objective, a publication that examines systems of power and inequity in journalism, and serves as an advisor to LA Public Press. His work has appeared in outlets including The Associated Press, The Texas Tribune, and Columbia Journalism Review.
Lauren Krapf (she/her) is an attorney and technology policy leader based in Los Angeles. She serves as Senior Product Counsel at TikTok, where she focuses on platform responsibility and minor safety. Previously, she held policy and legal leadership roles at the Anti-Defamation League, working at the intersection of technology, civil rights, and public policy.
